VALLEYS OF NEPTUNE
In keeping with the spiritual aspects of his life, Jimi often wrote about, and painted, images of celestial bodies.
The new album release and limited edition are titled Valleys of Neptune. This is the artwork that was chosen for this monumental album release of new music.
One can only imagine that Jimi dreamed of being in a fantastical spot like the one he has depicted in this beautiful painting. The bold use of color and contrasting the sky against a surreal landscape evokes feelings of being far away from the day to day world.
The piece has a spiritual feel which is in keeping with Jimi’s vision of a sky church.
Once again we see that this man was a very complicated and talented individual that lived and dreamed in several dimensions at the same time. It is interesting to note how his art and music follow similar directions.
Authentic Hendrix and the Georgian Terrace Hotel will be hosting the East coast premiere for the Art of Jimi Hendrix Ehibit March 26th – March 28th . In conjunction with the Experience Hendrix concert at the Fox theatre on March 27th, the Georgian Terace Hotel will be hosting this unique exhibit. This is a rare chance to see and purchase estate limited editions of Jimi’s art and manuscripts. Also included in the exhibit will be unique originals and editions by Grace Slicxk and Ronnie Wood. These intimate portraits reflect the respect that these fellow rock musicians have for their friend Jimi Hendrix.

In celebration of the new Jimi Hendrix album, single and video we are releasing the newest Jimi Hendrix limited edition titled The Valleys of Neptune. The image chosen for the cover art and Video are the image of Jimi’s watercolor painting Valleys of Neptune
Janie Hendrix recently said that her brother originally wanted to be an artist. “He went through a phase doing watercolors at school and this was one of the 110 drawings of his that our father kept,When I saw this one from 1957, it screamed ‘Valleys of Neptune’ so we just knew we’d use it for this project.”
We will be releasing the limited edition on march 9th .
