The Pacific Northwest is a beautiful place where the skies are often cloudy. This watercolor depicts a beach and lighthouse scene on one of these gray days when the rain storm was brewing.

Many feel that this was one of the influences for the song Rainy Day, Dream Away. At the same time as envisioning an upcoming rain, the piece has a very warm and intimate feel to it, much like the lyrics for the song.
